Runaway Bay, Jamaica: Renowned and loved worldwide for its vacation nanny service, the Franklyn D Resort (FDR) in Runaway Bay, St Ann, Jamaica, reopened November 1st after being closed for two months for refurbishing.
Newly promoted executive assistant manager, Trishawana Davidson, says the hotel is open and ready for business and looks forward to another successful winter tourist season, which begins in December.
“We have done a lot of improvements from our cuisine options, the overall facility, so we really encourage everybody to come down and see our changes. Newly improved, newly renovated and now ready for business,” Davidson said.
The upgrade includes “two new beachfront suites, changes to the overall appearance of the property – the entrance coming in, the lobby area. In the pool area, we’ve built new cabanas, as for the dining areas we’ve made improvements there too.”
A Trip Advisor Certificate of Excellence winner, FDR is described as the best all-inclusive family destination vacation in the world.
FDR has fabulous dining options with the recently refurbished Overproof Restaurant which offers Jamaican cuisine such as fish and bammy, oxtail, curried conch. The Pier offers a range of cuisines the covers Italian, Indian and French, while the Sea Cotton Tree Grill by the beach provides all-day snacks that include Jamaican beef patties, jerk chicken and jerk pork, grilled Panini sandwiches.
And -oh! The kids have their own buffet, aptly called Kidz Buffet, which provides mouth-watering snacks including macaroni and cheese, chicken nuggets, spaghetti and meatballs, fish fingers, hot dogs, hamburgers, healthy salads and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit juices, milk, softy ice cream, and dessert.
The family resort offers lots of activities for every member of the family, from kids to teens to adults.
There are countless activities that a family could share but of course, when adults want to be by themselves, the fantastic nanny service comes in handy to take care of the young ones. #1962fdr
